2 – If the settings on your device do not prevent access to the camera and microphone

Temporary files/browser cache: Browsers use cache to speed up webpage loading times, but temporary files can cause issues when different versions of files interact | If you run into any problems, one of the first things you should do is close the browser, reopen the website, and log in. You are forcing a 'refresh' of the page in this manner. You can also do the following: CTRL+F5 (Windows), Cmd+Option+R (Mac), and the refresh icon (Mobile). |
Software Settings: Based on user preferences, device settings and anti-virus software can prevent
access to the camera and microphone. |
Allow access to the camera and microphone by changing the device settings and antivirus settings. Check if the antivirus will be able to add the website to the blocking exceptions. |
Compatible Hardware / Drivers: Cameras and microphones rely heavily on drivers, particularly on Windows, as this type of software configures how the operating system will handle the hardware. |
Check if your drivers are up to date. |
Other factors that can impede access and should be avoided include: outdated or improperly configured software, which can interfere with the operation of cameras and microphones. | Make sure your software is up to date and properly configured ahead of time. |
